The services available are limited only by imagination; we welcome the opportunity to work with others to develop creative and sustainable ways to better enable emotional health, and would be delighted to discuss all and any like-minded ideas further!
Initial ‘introductory’ training can be delivered in a number of ways, ranging from a one-hour presentation ‘overview’ (suitable for conferences and meeting-type presentations) to interactive half-day and full-day options that allow more time for information to be presented, discussed and related to specific day-to-day requirements. Introductory training covers a broad range of essential, evidence-based information around brain structure and function in relation to the way we think, feel, learn and behave – all presented within the context of the work/role of the training commissioner.
This can then be developed (through subsequent training) to look at areas of particular relevance or interest (learning specialised skills, such as the effective treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, for example). Alternatively, an introductory ‘half-day’ can be extended into a full day and include more specific aspects of interest (for example: understanding and working with eating disorders; managing conflict; understanding autism; working with challenging adolescent behaviour; developing the use of Social & Emotional Aspects of Learning [SEAL] materials in the Primary Curriculum etc).
Further training and development is offered in the form of modular courses, allowing for ‘in house’ development of skills within the workplace setting and most effectively relating theory to practice. We recognise the need to provide therapy, training and development that ‘meets need’, and take care to ensure that all and any work provided is ‘fit for purpose’.
