Training & Development Services

Audience

Whether you are:

a gamelan musician working with young offenders in prisons; a teacher or teaching assistant working with vulnerable children in schools; a hospice nurse managing breathlessness and depression in patients with cancer; a consultant psychiatrist working with eating disorders in an in-patient unit; a youth worker supporting young people with difficulties in relation to substance misuse; or a parent supporting a child with autism

Training is made practical and relevant to your situation!

We have worked (and in many cases continue to work) with organisations (and representatives from organisations) including:

Barnado’s; BEAT (formerly the Eating Disorders Association); Civil Service; Education professionals (including teachers, head teachers, deputy heads, pastoral heads, heads of departments and heads of learning, teaching assistants, SENCOs, meal-time assistants, school nurses, educational psychologists, Primary Resource Base workers, Connexions workers, behaviour support workers and Early Years specialists); Health professionals (including GPs, nurses and health managers, health education co-ordinators, health visitors, home-care providers, midwives and occupational therapists); HR Managers; Local Authorities (including officers and managers involved in community development, education advisory services, road safety and school travel planning); Mental Health professionals (including counsellors, psychotherapists, CAMHS workers, psychosexual therapists, psychiatrists, life coaches, life skills tutors and

RELATE counsellors); Criminal Justice Service (including Police, Prison staff, Probation Service, Youth Offending Teams, Magistrates and Youth Justice Panel members); Social workers (including substance misuse specialists, foster carers and day care workers); Sports development specialists; Youth workers (including youth development managers and housing support workers); YMCA; Hospiscare; Macfarlane Trust

Most importantly, training is devised and delivered by individuals who work therapeutically and ‘hands on’ with individuals and groups on a day-to-day basis. Training is based on a contemporary, up-to-date understanding of the psychology and neurobiology of what works in practical situations.
